Discussion:
[omniORB] stub files compiled by different compilation of same omniORB.

Hi, everyone:
I built omniORB 4.1.4 into several build versions, say gcc.32bit,
gcc.64bit, icc.32bit, and icc.64bit .
Now, using different build versions of omniORB 4.1.4 to compile one same
IDL from the 3rd party into files, say foo.hh and fooSK.cc .
My question is: will the foo.hh and fooSK.cc always be the same no
matter compiled by which build of omniORB, or it could be different ?

I tried with two builds, gcc.32bit and icc.64bit, and the output .hh and
SK.cc are the same. But not sure that is always true.

Thanks ahead for your advice.

Jason

They will always be the same.

The only exception is if you use the platform defines about the presence
of types like LongLong and LongDouble to compile different IDL on
different platforms. Some of the IDL that is compiled as part of the
omniORB build does that, but application-level IDL should not.

Cheers,

Duncan.
