[omniORB] Configuration NameService

Hello,

I think I got an error in the configurations of the nameservice in OmniORB.
The user manuals are a little confusing.
What do I have to really set. Which environment variables ?
Do I have to add something in the registry and what.
What is meant with my.host.name ?
In some tutorials it says localhost.
Which port do I have to use ?

I am still getting errors, and gradually I get frustrated.

Did you run the sample.reg? Of otherwise have a look at it and run it.
You do not have to specify the port to the NameService.
You could try use the 127.0.0.1 in the NameService in InitRef in the
registration database InitRef if you would like to have it run under
localhost:
NameService=corbaname::127.0.0.1
