Hello

Is there any patch (existing or in development) that needs to be applied
to omniORB 4.0.2 with respect to upcoming DST change (details below)?

In August of 2005 the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act,
which changes the dates of both the start and end of daylight saving time
(DST). When this law goes into effect in 2007, DST will start three weeks
earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week
later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November) than what had
traditionally occurred.

Most applications use OS-provided services for manipulation of date and
time, at least for conversions between time zones. Almost certainly
there is nothing at the omniORB level which has direct knowledge of
daylight savings time conventions. For example, other countries already
have different DST conventions and those are already handled properly.

You will need to make sure that you have updated the date/time database
on your machines.

There are no date calculations in omniORB, so it's not affected by this
or any other DST change.

Cheers,

Duncan.
