[omniORB] win64

Is there a win64 version of omniORB precompiled (dont see one on the
sourceforge page)? Has anyone actually used it on 64 bit machines?

There is no 64-bit version precompiled (at least it wasn't when I was
searching for it). 4.0.7 compiles (VC8) fine with minor patches which
are already in 4.1. We use it without any problems, compiled for AMD64.
There are some old posts on this subject which should be in list archive...

Are the patches rolled into the 4.0 CVS version? Is not, where does one
get them?

The reason i ask, i had issues with the 4.1 dist. My client does not
talk w/ my server is i compile it under win32/4.1.0-rc1 and my server
under linux 4.0.7. However, all works well w/ 4.0.7. I dont have my 64
bit machine just yet so i can't just "try it" so i am trying to get
things lined up prior to this

The patches are in both 4.0 and 4.1 branches in CVS. What errors do you
get trying to compile 4.0?

What goes wrong? 4.1 should happily talk to 4.0 with no problems.
