[omniORB] omniNames logifle processing

Hello!

Does anyone know why the -start option is needed for omniNames? I'm
wondering why the application can't simply test for the existence of the
logfile on startup and, if it doesn't exist simply create it. I raise
this point because we typically configure omniNames to run as a Windows
service, and it seems rather awkward to have to manually start names
with the -start option, shut down Names, and then restart it from the
Local Service control window.

The default of distinguishing first first run from subsequent runs is
largely for historical reasons. The option you ask for already exists.
You just give arguments -start -always

If you run omniNames as a Windows service, it automatically does the
equivalent of -start -always.
