Hi,

for a very good approach on integrating CORBA with .NET by means of .NET
Remoting, you should take a look at IIOP.NET,
https://sourceforge.net/projects/iiop-net.

It allows to use your existing CORBA server with a client written in any
CLS-compliant language, e.g. C# (and of course you can write your server
in C#, too).

Its IDL compiler doesn't generate C# code, but directly generates a .NET
assembly with all type and interface definitions from your CORBA IDL
mapped to CLS types and interfaces.

Best regards

Clemens

Betreff: [omniORB] IIOP wint omniORB using Janeva

Hi,

I am using CORBA (omniORB) and C++ for my distributed computing
application. Now I want to migrate my application with C# and CORBA
without changing my server application. I am using the Naming Service
(thru omni names) in my existing application for communication.

1. I tried Janeva for migrating my application to C#. How can I
communicate with my existing server application (binding with omni
names)?
2. Is there any compiler available for IDL to C# conversion and
will it interoperable with omniORB?

Waiting for the earliest reply.

Thanks in advance.
